Historical Milestones

1979 – Company Founded and Global Ambitions
Signal Sportswear was established in 1979 by Mr. Edward Chiang, with a mission to export woven and knitted apparel to Brazil and the United States. This marked the beginning of our long-standing commitment to high-quality manufacturing and global trade.

1983 – Strategic Expansion into China
In 1983, we established a joint venture factory in Qingdao, China, producing ski jackets, snowboard jackets, and advanced outdoor apparel. This milestone demonstrated our dedication to innovative garment technology and international growth.

1997 – Shanghai Sourcing Office
To strengthen our global supply chain, Signal Sportswear opened a sourcing office in Shanghai, China. This office ensures access to top-quality fabrics, trims, and accessories, supporting consistent product excellence for our international customers.

2005 – Own Factory in Fuzhou, China (Factory 1)
Taking control of production, we launched our own factory in Fuzhou, China, specializing in OEM/ODM outdoor and performance apparel. This milestone reinforced our commitment to quality standards and efficient manufacturing processes.

2013 – Diversification and Bangladesh Factory (Factory 2)
Signal Sportswear expanded overseas by founding a factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This facility allowed us to scale production across multiple categories, including woven apparel, knitted apparel, outdoor jackets, football apparel, and seam-taped garments, strengthening our global market reach.

2018 – Cambodia Factory Expansion (Factory 3)
In 2018, we established a factory in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, focusing on knitted apparel such as yoga pants, leggings, running apparel, and cycling apparel. This milestone broadened our product range and reinforced our position in major international markets.
